New Living Homes Website

LivingHomes, the famously green and LEED certified prefab, has a new website up. It has tons of information on the homes and their green features, with scoring relative to LEED certification. There are two standard models of homes to choose from, the one-story 2,200 sq-ft RK2 as well as the larger two-story RK1 we've all seen in so many magazines. There are several custom designs you can see too. The site lets you configure your own version of either house on the site, and see the pricing as well as LEED points. I ran an RK2 complete with green roof, 80% capacity photovoltaics, rainwater catchment and greywater system. It only priced out at $734,200! This is a very high end home, even with just base features. Too rich for my wallet, but I guess a man can dream. You may not be able to afford one of these houses either, but you can learn a lot about green home design just by browsing the site.
I heard about LivingHomes' new site at this post on Inhabitat. Read their post to learn about other exciting announcements by the home builder during their open house at the model home.
