Choosing a New Look for Yourself
A new look is like a holiday and it can change the way you feel about yourself, and even get your love life back up and running. If you have had the same look most of your life, same hair, same clothes and same shoes, then it may be time for a change. You can even take the time to spoil yourself by heading off to a day spa or just getting your hair coloured.
There are some things you need to know about yourself before you choose your new look:
- Do you find your current look boring?
- Are you prepared to test your style boundaries?
- Can you use some of your old clothes for a new style?
- Are you looking for subtle or drastic changes?
Remember, as Roseanne (from the television show) said – beauty comes in all sizes, not just 5. So don’t stress about extra weight or other negative aspects of your body, as you can still have a great look.
Starting with a Makeover
Start out with a good old-fashioned makeover and make a day of it if you can. Chances are you work a lot or are caring for the kids, so a little bit of relaxation won’t hurt you. If you are looking long-term, then consider using Candela laser hair removal to stay sleek and hair-free. Also, be sure not to stop at one beauty treatment and forget about it.
Even if you can’t afford to go to the beauty therapist every week, you can still treat yourself at home. There are lots of home beauty treatments out there, and they won’t cost you a fortune. You might even want to play around with some home-made beauty treatments.
Throw Away Those Glasses!
If you have glasses, then you can either opt for a brand new style or get rid of them altogether. If you have the money, laser eye surgery can help you live without spectacles, but contact lenses are the most popular choice. Let’s face it, glasses can be great accessories too, but sometimes you want to let your eyes be seen!
Hair Be Gone!
It is important to get your overall image right, and if you are going for something elegant or chic, then you don’t want to have unwanted hair ruining your look. As mentioned above, you can always opt for laser hair removal as a long-term solution, or simply wax and/or shave regularly. While this is important, don’t forget to spend some time and money on the hair on your head as well.
Many women see a new look as some hair dye and a style cut. Try and be a little adventurous and (most importantly) ask your hairdresser what they think. They will usually know what will work with your face and what the current trends are.
Choosing Your Style
Choose a style that you will be comfortable with but will also take you a bit out of your comfort zone. If you choose a style almost the same as what you started with, then it is a pointless exercise. Most importantly, have fun with it, and consider changing styles with a girlfriend so you can encourage each other and have a laugh at the same time.
