If you like good food and wine, and want to enjoy it somewhere that is absolutely gorgeous, get yourself to Noosa for this wonderful event. Widely considered to be one of Australia’s best culinary occasions, the Noosa Food and Wine Festival is held over four days around mid-May every year, and has become a huge highlight of the food and wine scene. The following is a very brief look at one truly amazing festival.

Who will be there

This great festival draws out the industry’s best and brightest, with some of Australia’s and the world’s finest chefs always in attendance. Dozens of Australia’s top wineries will also be represented, ensuring that there are more than a few decent options for drinks. Anyone who is serious about his or her food and wine will be in the Noosa for this big event.

What to expect

Whether this is your first food and wine show or you are a seasoned veteran, expect to be blown away. Events include a Welcome party, food tours of the local region, celebrity cooking demonstrations, a Village Wine Marquee and live entertainment, and all of this will be taking place just steps from some of Queensland’s most beautiful beaches. One of the main highlights of the festival is ‘The Best Dinner In The World’, where some of the world’s finest chefs work together to produce a dining experience you won’t ever forget.

Tickets

Considering that this really is a world-class event, tickets are extremely reasonably priced, and the festival has been set up in such a way that you can get all-inclusive passes or tickets to individual events. Event tickets range in price considerably, with a General Admission entry with two tickets for food or wine, priced at $65 per person. If you plan on being here for the entire weekend and want to see it all, you can buy a Gold Pass for $315 per person, which is tremendous value and includes, among other things, General Admission entry with six tickets for food and wine per person per day. If you are coming with children under 13 years of age, their entry costs $20 per day. A ticket to the Best Dinner in the World will cost you $750, which is a fantastic deal when you consider who is cooking and the incredible food that will be served.

Where to stay

There is a wide range of Noosa accommodation options and everywhere is pretty close to the beach, so you will have no problems finding a place that suits you, providing of course that you book well in advance.
